Alhaji Ismaila Usman Tubo, is married to Hajiya Fatima Tukur Yusufu Buratai. She a daughter of former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) now Ambassador to Benin Republic, His Excellency, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd). The wedding ceremony took place at: Tukur and Tukur Farm, Gora, Nasarawa State, along Abuja-Keffi Road, on Saturday July 30, 2022.
The epoch wedding ceremony, attracted eminent personalities and guests from within and outside the country,. Thus included diplomats, military top brass both serving and retired, top government functionaries, traditional rulers, politicians, religious leaders businessmen and women.
Notable among those spotted, include the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd), and Indonesia’s Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Air Vice Marshal Usra Harahap (rtd).
There was also heavy presence of several Emirs, Obas, Chiefs, Captains of industries, serving and retired senior military officers the occasion.
In his welcome address at the wedding reception , His Excellency, Ambassador Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd) said, he was blessed to witness large turn out of dignitaries and other guests at the wedding of his daughter and his latest son in-law.
He admonished the latest couple to be tolerant, God fearing and love each other.
In a vote of thanks, Lieutenant General Lamidi Adeosun (rtd) appreciated all those that came from far and near to witness the wedding ceremony.
As part of activities marking Fatima TY Buratai’s wedding, three friendly football matches were played.
In the first match played on Friday July 29, TY Buratai Academy locked horns with TY Buratai FC Borno.
The match ended 3-0 in favour of the home boys, Buratai Academy. Two other matches were also played on Saturday.
