PVC: Women link For Better GovernanceSensitises Over 200 Women In Kaduna

Barely two weeks for the closure of the Continuous Voter Registration (CRV) which the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC announced will end on the July 31, a Kaduna state based NGO Women link For Better Governance has sensitazed over 200 women folk in the state, to use the period to collect their Permanent Voters Cards.
Speaking at the one day awareness organised by the NGO in kaduna, it National President Hajiya Maryam Yahaya Sani said , “The voters cards is our weapon which we can use during the 2023 general elections and elect credible political leaders that will improve our life standard as well as use it to voted out any political leader that failed us”.
Maryam call on all Nigerian women not be left out in using the remaining period towards collecting their own permanent voters cards in view of it importance, stressing that women are always at the forefront during political elections in this country but unfortunately, at the end after the candidates emerged winners they dumped us, .
On the NGO Maryam said “We are planing in the future to open more branches across the states the 36 states including FCT.
Also speaking the National Secretary of the NGO Hajiya Aisha Gambo said the NGO is an amalgamation of various None govermantal organization in the state that have same ideologies an we started with few women but now we have large membership, adding that we have representatives in almost all the 23 local government areas of the state.
She said “Very soon we are going to embark on a tour especially to the villages in the state with view to sensitise especially women on the need to come out and vote candidates of their choice in 2023 general elections especially those that would improve on our living standards”.
Aisha added that “We are also going to discourage especially women not to accept any inducement from any candidates but even if they collect they should vote candidates of their choice.
Speaking as the special guest Malam Alkali Abubakar Zaria noted that any eligible voter that refuse to participate in in the 2023 general elections do so at his own or her risk because he has no bases to complain on any elected leader that failed to provide the dividend of the democracy.
