Former Member House Of Reps, Hon. Rufa’i Ahmadu Chanchangi has said he will be a compassionate Governor to all Kaduna people irrespective of religious, political and tribal affiliations if elected Governor of the State in 2023.
Rufa’i, who was a two term federal legislator stated that the State was in dire need of a positive change to correct the present errors where small and medium scale traders had been pushed out of business.
He lamented that the poor could no longer send their kids to the State owned tertiary institutions, particularly Kaduna State University (KASU), which tuition fee he noted cost as high as half a million naira, an exorbitant amount he said was beyond the reach of the middle class, especially the downtrodden who could seldom feed three times in a day.
Chanchangi disclosed that the panacea to rising insecurity in the state should begin with treating all categories and classes of people equally without favouring some above others.
” Kaduna State is bleeding all over with mass exodus of residents migrating from rural and outskirt areas to Urban centers where they can enjoy a relative peace.
” Such development must not be allowed to thrive to an irredeemable stage because it is fast killing the economy of the once booming and cosmopolitan Center.
” Kaduna State deserves a proactive and compassionate leader with a good heart and interest of his people at heart .
” Time for action is now to set the state on the right way; the path of progress, justice and development.
” I will ensure an even distribution of resources so dividends of democracy can go round and impact on lives of the masses, ” he assured.
