In a press release made by the group in Kaduna on 24th January, 2022 which was signed by the National Convener Comrade Zubairu Mukhtar says “it is quiet unfortunate that miscreant and detractors would not stop at anything to see that they mar the integrity and good reputation built by the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security & Civil Defense Corps in person of Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni”.
He added that information reaching them that the CG is been accused of posting officers from the North and Muslims to lead the anti-vandal squad in different States is barbaric and uncalled for.
There was a time when almost all key positions where held by Yoruba’s and Christians but we never complained because Nigeria belongs to us all and it is at the discretion of the CG to appoint squad leaders without consulting the State Commandants. And if you would ask me, I would say this propaganda emanated from the State Commandants who feel they should effect such appointments but unfortunately they have failed to look back at history of even the Nigerian Police Force which on the Inspector General of Police is mandated to make appointments to such special areas such as the anti-vandal squad and all other special squads.
Today we call on all State Commandants of the NSCDC to please stop getting distracted from their primary mandate and allow the workaholic CG A A Audi Phd mni concentrate on his good work of reforming the NSCDC.
Comrade Zubairu also called on CG A A Audi Phd mni to deal decisively with anyone who wants to cause disunity and disharmony within the institution be it internally motivated or by jobless miscreants who feel they can subjugate the CG to give them financial aggrandizement due to their cheap blackmail.
It is also important to note that change is constant and every CG brings in new innovation, ideas and current trends to make the job effectively and efficiently carried out as such he is not mandated to work with shabby policies he inherited.
