Zamfara commences Africa Quranic recitation competition

The organizing committee of Quranic recitation competition of Africa, Zamfara state branch in collaboration with Sheik Jafar Mahmud Adam Foundation has Saturday commenced the state Quranic recitation competition in Zamfara state.

The organizing committee chairman of the competition, Alh Nura Bello Alkali in his address of welcome said, the Theme of this year competition is the impact of peace and security in the light of Quran.

He noted that the competition contingents were drawn from all the 14 local government areas of the state at state level.

Alh. Nura Bello Alkali, stated that 8 states including Zamfara were selected to participate in the upcoming April Africa Quranic recitation competition slated to hold in Ghana.

He added that only females contingents were selected from Zamfara state to participate during Africa Quranic recitation competition slated to hold April this year in Accra Ghana.

According to him, after three days on trial, those who became first, second and third position at state level will be proceed to Kano for final trial before taking those who successfully meet the required positions to participate and represent Nigeria in the forthcoming April Africa Quranic recitation competition in Ghana.

In her remarks, the Matron of the competition, Hajiya Jamila Musa Kanoma tasked the entire contingents to rededicate efforts in ensuring that they are among those who will represent Zamfara state at the forthcoming April Africa Quranic recitation competition slated to hold in Ghana.

In a good will message, the coordinator of the state Africa Quranic recitation competition, Malam Bashir Sulaiman commended the state government for the support given to them to organize the competition.
