Senator Marafa’s APC faction condemn thugs attack on its member allegedly sponsored by the state govt.

The All Progressive Congress APC, senator Kabiru Garba Marafa’s faction in Zamfara state has Monday accused Zamfara state government under the leadership of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle for allegedly sponsoring political thugs attacking it’s members.

This was made known by the Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa’s spokes man Bello Bakysuwa Maradun at a press conference Monday in Gusau.

According to him, last Friday, the alleged hired hoodlums attacked the state chairman of Marafa’s APC faction social media in person of Shamsu Shehu, accusing the government of the state under the leadership of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle for sponsoring thugs in the state.

“On 14th January 2022, Shamsu Shehu was attacked at a point directly opposite government house in Gusau, injured and vandalized his vehicle, the hoodlums after their nefarious act ran into the government house and comfortably took refuge, that is why we accused the government of Matawalle in that regard”. Bakysuwa stated.

“This attack on our social media chairman by all manifestation are political thugs belonging to governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle’s faction”.

The Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa’s APC faction had strongly condemned the attack, describing it as uncalled for, barbaric and undemocratic.

Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa said they will take legal action against the government of the state if the attack on their members fasist in the state.

He call on the state Commissioner of police CP Ayuba N. Elkana to wake up from his sleeping and ensure the perpetrators are arrested and brought to justice
