The Chairman Northern Speakers Forum, Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly RT Hon Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani has extends his heartfelt condolences to President Muhammadu Buhari, Kaduna state Government and families of Aliyu Lere and Afaka on the passing of Hon. and Master Warrant Officer, Sa’idu Afaka, President Muhammadu Buhari’s official driver, who died at the State House Clinic on Tuesday after a prolonged illness.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Haruna Jafaru Sambo and made available to the press on Tuesday.
Zailani, also commiserates with the Government and people of Kaduna State, for the lost of two Illustrious Sons.
It will be recalled that Mr Aliyu was sworn in by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, in March 2020 despite contesting for the seat in the 2019 general election.
He was sworn in after the Court of Appeal in Kaduna declared him the winner of the election and removed Lawal Adamu of the PDP who was occupying the seat.
It could be recall that Saidu Afaka in 2016, while on pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, picked up a bag containing a large amount of foreign currencies and turned it over to the National Hajj Commission, an action which earned him praises from the Saudi and Nigerian authorities.
Chairman Northern Speakers Forum prays Almighty Allah to ‘‘bless the souls of the departed with an elevated place in heaven,’’ committing the families and friends to divine comfort and patience.
