Commiserate with Niger, Zamfara

The Chairman Northern Speakers Forum, Speaker Kaduna state House of Assembly RT Hon Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani Garkuwan Musabakar Qurani, on Tuesday condemned the abduction of girls from Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Talatar Mafara Local government in Zamfara State.
This was contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to the press in Kaduna.
Zailani condemned the latest kidnapping as “inhumane and totally unacceptable”.
He also said “It was the country’s third school attack in less than three months — events that have revived traumatic memories of the “Chibok girls” kidnapped by Boko Haram Terrorist’s nearly seven years ago.”
The abductions have increased the number of children who cannot attend school, especially girls, this is a very big challenge to education in our the Northern Region.
The Chairman Northern Speakers Forum, while commiserating with the Government of Zamfara, Niger, parents of the students and victims of the incessant killings in the states, called on the terrorists to lay down their arms and release those in their custody.
RT Hon Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani Further Said “This is a gross violation of children’s rights and a horrific experience for children to go through — one which could have long-lasting effects on their mental health and well-being. I utterly condemn the attack and call on those responsible to release the girls immediately and for the security to take steps to ensure their safe release and the safety of all other schoolchildren in Nigeria.”
