The Chairman Northern Speakers Forum and Speaker Kaduna state House of Assembly RT Hon Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani on Tuesday revalidated his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his constituency in Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government, Kaduna State.
Speaker Zailani, who was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Jafaru Sambo, Kaduna state APC Public Relations Officer Salisu Tanko Wusono, Igabi Local government Party Executives, Stakeholders, Councillors, and other party members at the exercise declared that APC has come to stay in Nigeria.
Zailani said the Era of endorsement is over, ” any politician that want to contest or is serving should do the needful for people to vote for him.
He said that this was the directive giving by the President Muhammadu Buhari and endorsed by the party to ensure that the party was returned to the people at the grassroot starting from bottom up from polling unit to ward to the local government to the state and then to the federal level.
You will recall that President Muhammadu Buhari has said “No more crowning from Abuja downward. Let the people know this and appreciate it that they are in charge of their constituencies and they are in charge of the party. Without any incentive they must come out and defend the party at any level so that the party will be secured and comfortable, because the old time of putting hands in the pocket is over because the money is no longer available.”
He urges party loyalist to conduct themselves peaceful so as to make success of the excises.
