GOV BELLO APPOINTS ACTING CHAIRMAN FOR STATE BOARD OF INTERNAL REVENUE


The Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has approved the appointment of Ahmed Garba Gunna (Dan Majen Kagara), FCNA, FCTA, FCIA, MNIM as the Acting Chairman, Niger State Board of Internal Revenue. 

This was made in a statement Signed the Information Officer SSG’s Office Lawal Tanko and made available to the press on 6th February, 2021

A statement issued by Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG) disclosed that the appointment of Ahmed Garba Gunna to the challenging position was based on merit, proven credentials, personal integrity, and outstanding records of decades of experience. 

The SSG reminded the Acting Chairman of the policy direction of the present administration which is to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Niger State and urged him to pursue the reinvigoration of the Board within the context of the State Government’s drive towards enhanced internally generated revenue.

The Secretary to the State Government told the Acting Chairman that he is also expected to bring his knowledge, skills, and wealth of experience to bear in the performance of his new assignment by working assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in him.

The Governor congratulates Ahmed Garba Gunna on the appointment and wishes him success and God’s guidance in the performance of the arduous duties of his Office, the statement stressed.

In a related development, the Executive Chairman, Niger State Board of Internal Revenue, Alhaji Jibrin Yusuf Habibu has been directed by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello to proceed on terminal leave with effect from Monday, 8th February, 2021, SSG revealed.
