There was a time we could only imagine if Nigeria will still be “alive” today especially in the light of American ignoble prediction of her disintegration in 2015 and the locally and internationally orchestrated terrorism and Armed banditry disturbing the peace, security and development of the nation.
The tumultuous happenings orchestrated by the enemies of Nigeria who often disguise as lovers of Nigeria and democrats, would have sank this ship call Nigeria. In order to discredit this administration and declare it a failure, this principalities of darkness would rather expend humongous resources in recruiting, arming and funding terrorism and banditry than provide jobs, education and hospitals for Nigerians.
Under a very difficult situation, the Nigerian Army and other security agencies defended, upheld and ensured that our country did not slide into a failed state as already declared by those who plotted Nigeria’s fall. The security agencies most especially the Army defended the unity of this country and our democracy with their sweat, blood and lives. This angered those who never meant well for this country, hence they intensified their campaigns from all fronts against the military and the service chiefs, without recourse to the prevailing circumstances under which the security agencies operate. The enemies of our nation made frantic attempts to use every means available including members of the national assembly, discredited and so called elders forum and religious groups to push for the removal of service chiefs.
Being a tested General and veteran himself, President Muhammadu Buhari, armed with superior intelligence and sufficient information at his disposal, did not cave in or give in to their calamitous call. Having failed to get the service chiefs removed, a well funded externally and internally engineered protest was also masterminded to provide a fertile ground for anarchy to set in, supported by a well coordinated propaganda and disinformation that principally targeted the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Nigerian Army and the police – marked the crescendo of their treacherous maneuver. They accused the President and the Nigerian Army of committing a massacre against peaceful protesters. That also failed in the face of a watertight and robust evidence to the falsity of their claim.
Having lost all these roundly and squarely, the masquerades have begun unveiling themselves. They chose a clergy as their mouthpiece to convey their frustrations. In their ignominious outburst through their mouthpiece, they tacitly call for a coup, which lend credence to the fact that there was a plan for regime change through the backdoor in collaboration with foreign elements. Recalled that there was an intensified campaign and advocation for the impeachment of Mr President and the removal of service chiefs with threats of sanctions by some mischievous international collaborators and the International Criminal Court (ICC) before this shameful sermon from a revered clergy who is notorious for religious intolerance, divisive manuevour and political partisanship.
Those who do not read beyond their noses may not understand the level of intricacies that those who do not wish well for this country can muster. Sometimes, the fight against insecurity is not entirely with arms. It involves dismantling the apparatus of treachery by scoundrels and dousing storms generated by their evil machinations, misinformation, disinformation and propaganda. Now that Nigeria has survived turbulent times and their treacherous aim of disintegration, certainly judgement awaits those who plotted Nigeria’s fall by inciting and promoting division, conflict and deepening insecurity.
This will not be the end, as there will be more battles to be fought, and many more intrigues from these scoundrels to be unravelled. The security agencies must not be complacent or waver, for the times ahead will reward those who served diligently and a punishment for our detractors.
Meanwhile, the good news coming from the North East battle grounds are that the war against insurgency will be won and will surely be completed victoriouslly in the coming months. Credible snippets and some news reports from the war arena indicate that the Nigerian Army Special Forces and other LAFIYA DOLE troops in conjunction with the Nigerian airforce and vigilantes have already captured Kafa which is the most dreaded terrorists’ enclave and spiritual Headquarters of Boko Haram terrorists in Timbuktu triangle in a special operation codenamed Operation TURA TAKAIBANGO which was reportedly launched by the Chief of Army on the 3rd of January 2021 at the 27 Brigade Tactical Headquarters at Buni Gari in Yobe State.
Already, newspaper reports have indicated that the Operation has been largely successful so far, with many terrorists and gun trucks destroyed as well as the capture of terrorists’ arms and hundreds of assorted ammunition. With the Chief of Army Staff who has been personally in the theatre overseeing the developments in the field, there are indications that the end of Boko Haram and ISWAP insurgency will come to an end in the year 2021 in line with the efforts of the Nigerian army and pronouncement of the Minister of Defence and President Muhammadu Buhari.
