The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna has organised the Commandant’s Luncheon in honour of 779 cadets passing out of the Academy.

At the lavish Luncheon held at the Academy House in Kaduna, Brigadier General Yakubu Mua’zu (rtd) served as the Special Guest of Honour.
In his remarks, Commandant of the NDA, Major General Jamil Sarham said that the event is one of the activities scheduled ahead of the Passing Out Parade (POP) on Saturday.
He said he was delighted to welcome the Special Guest of Honour to the event, describing him as a distinguished officer during his service in the Army.






He said that he learnt a lot from General Mua’zu while he was still in service.
Those passing out on Saturday are
291 cadets of the 67 Regular Course and Short Service Course 46 Army, comprising 488 cadets.
In his remarks, the Special Guest of Honour, Brigadier General Yakubu Mua’zu (rtd) said that the NDA has come of age, producing great leaders.
“I wish to congratulate the cadets for a successful five years. You have been able to survive the rigours if the training. But remember, you cannot celebrate yet until the next seven days.
“Don’t allow any incident or accident to take you off your dreams.
“You are about to be officers at a critical time of our history due to insurgency, banditry and other insecurity.
“You must shun any act that will tarnish the cherished image of the Armed Forces of Nigeria,” he said.
