Healthcare delivery: Zamfara Ministry secure job opportunities to 114 Health workers

The ministry for local government and community development zamfara state has been given automatic employment letters to 114 successful candidates who undergone training skills under the supervision of an NGO based in the state, Foundation Year Programme(FYP) to boost Healthcare delivery in the state.

The Special Adviser to the office of the Commissioner of the ministry, Bashir Malami Jabaka stated this in an interview with Blueprint in Gusau Tuesday on the outcome of a meeting between the Permanent Secretary of the ministry Alhaji Mustpha Muhammad Maradun, his counterpart form the state ministry of health Dr. D.A Alh hamisu Mohd, officials of the state primary health care and officials from the ministry of budget and economic planning held at the Ministry Conference Hall.

According to him, the state ministry had also donated the sum of N2.1m to Foundation Year Programme (FYP) with a view to sustain training program among sponsored candidates to study General Nursing, Basic Midwifery, CHEW and JCHEW courses respectively.

According to him, the gesture will be sustain every Month adding that the aims of the programme is to improve health care delivery service across the state.

He further informed that, under the programme, candidates were selected from the community across the 14 local government areas of the state while some allowances will be given to Midwifery Special Scheme that are Operating in nine (9) local government areas of the state.

Other Programmes embarked upon by the Ministry to the Health sector according to Bashir Malam Jabaka includes, supporting routine Immunization activities in the state, Financial Support to School of Nursing and Midwifery, and Outbreak of diseases and the purchase of first aid Drugs to community as well as financial support to development partners for effective services delivery respectively.

“The Ministry also constructed (WCWC) clinic across the 14 local government and earmarked Monthly assistance to people Living with HIV/Aids respectively”. Jabaka stated.

He urged people of the state to continue given support and cooperation to the state government under the leadership of Goveronor Bello Mohammed Matawalle to enable him meet the yearning and aspirations of the citizens of the state.
