Zamfara APC Chairman, call on IGP to set up committee of enquiry over harrassment of members by the police

The Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC, Zamfara State Branch,. Alhaji Lawal Muhammad Liman has appealed to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu to as a matter of urgency constitute a committee of enquiry over what he described intimidating of members of the party by the police under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, Usman Nagoggo.

The party leader made the call at a press conference in his office Monday while reacting to the alledged depriving them their legitimate right by the police.

Liman further alledged that, the call became necessary considering the fact that, the state police Commissioner have taken side in which he alledgely connived with the state government under the leadership of Goveronor Bello Mohammed Matawalle arrested 17 members of the APC and we’re illegally detained for over 10 hours as well as releasing them unconditionally.

Liman further informed that, the party has notified all the relavant authorities on the matter at National levels for urgent proactive measures to be taken to ensure safety of the entire members of the party in the state.

According to him, the party members will remain law abiding citizens and warned members to shun any form of breaching law and order capable of causing unrest in the state as the party Leadership will remain resolute to fight for their legitimate right.
